What is a horse show photographer?
A Horse show photographer is a business that typically has multiple photographers photographing as many riders, classes and horses as possible, for the purpose of making large quantities of images available for review, and to produce a high volume of economical photographic prints.

Is A Great Image a horse show photographer?
No. A Great Image occasionally photographs equine events to provide limited quantity specialty photography and advertising. Our products, services and pricing are similar to equine portrait artists and commercial advertising photographers. All of our work involves extensive digital imaging time. Most of our work ends up on canvas, on press, and in advertising. We do NOT offer high volume equine show photography and prints. We also do a considerable amount of event and other photography which is not related to equine sport.

A Great Image wants to exhibit and be a vendor at our horse show. We already have a show photographer. Is there a conflict?
No. Once people understand what we do there is no conflict. A Great Image will exhibit large canvas reproductions, closely follow and photograph only an extremely small number of clients, and produce special creations and advertising. Our presence has virtually no impact on the show photographer’s business. Yet we offer the show the opportunity of additional vendor revenue.

What is your feeling about working at events that already have a show photographer?
We respect the work that the show photographers do and will be happy to send people seeking such services their way.

We love your work! Can A Great Image be the show photographer for our event?
Due to the nature of our work we do not provide the high volume photographic services required of a show photographer. However we are always happy to provide specialty equine photography services on a limited quantity basis as a vendor and in the production of show promotion images.
